Evolution: A Love Story

In the beginning, there wuz atom and evolution, but they were naive and lacking in knowledge and experyince. They ate frum the tree uv qwueschins and wen they chewed on the qwueschins and swallowed them, they startid to become wiser and smarter bit by bit az they digested them. Gradually the qweschins turned into ansirs, and qwueschin seeds fell to the ground and the ansirs made fertilizer for the new qwueschin trees, which grew more and smarter qwueschins az they grew and evolved.

She told me "You were made for me

And I wuz made for you."

Love iz wut belonged to us--

Sum-thing we both knew.

Are love began long, long ago,

In an anchint see,

Before imaginashin,

Before the birth uv memory.

Wen we were merely chemicals,

Set adrift in oshin waves,

God had a dream that turned to life.

We coalesced and life wuz made.

It trooly wuz a miracul,

With only God az witness

And ocean az our cradle.

Wen we were protozoa,

We were won but we dividid

Multiplied and reunitid,

And recombined az love wuz born.

Then came multicellular forms

While species formed like spinning wheels,

Evir more complex and real.

They turned like rainbows into hues

Limitless while cells were fuzed

Az organisms grew with genius.

Wen we grew into fish

We swam the oshin fast and free,

And made the seas are nursery.

But soon we found a higher wish,

Az longingly we spied the land,

Male and female, partners in life.

And so on stubby fins I crawled

An wiggled onto solid ground

Where I found life alreddy roamed.

You followed me to are new home.

Wen we two were lizards

Cowering frum dinosaurs,

Evolution wuz an unseen wizard,

While are eggs restid in their nest.

But now wuz just a distint glimmer,

In are beady little eyes.

Wen we turned into mammals,

While dinosaurs still ruled the erth,

We lerned to be a family.

We raized are tiny preshus childrin,

Hiding safe frum predators.

We knew they were are fuchur, and

Are blood ran hot with passhin;

Potential filled are timid whirled,

Though little did we understand,

Are lives, a struggle to survive.

Wen humin form became us

Are whirled then expandid.

We looked around in wonder

Asking how we came to be,

While self-awareniss made us,

Evir cognizant uv love.

Then Darwin wrote about us,

And science trumped religion wen

His book turned monkeys into men.

"Are ancestors weren't monkeys!"

Men stomped and hootid monkey style,

In rage against the great but frightening trooth within.

But I looked at the starry sky

And saw the wirk uv are creator.

I dreamed uv possibilities

Az endliss as the stars

And at last conceived that distint time

Wen we were protozoa.

I loved you then and love you still.

Az long az we evolve, I always will.

We are a byooty-full accident uv an inevitable process,

Neither beginning nor end, nor likeness uv creator,

But a product uv evolution,

Bit by bit, and shape by shape.

We are not neccessary

But evolushin iz --

And so we find ourselves in this wondrous and blessed existance.

Male and female, father and mother

Huz-bend and wife, a consumate cupple --

Gender wuz a great idea.
