Eunice's Wedding Vows

Dearest Robert,

How quickly time has passed,

Like an invisible arrow flying into the future.

Ten years seem like one day.

But in this special moment,

I can see your heart, full of joy,

And constant like Old Faithful.

When I first saw you, I saw kindness.

When I looked at your face, you looked like a big handsome doll.

As I heard you talking, I heard your gentle voice.

When I heard you laughing, I heard your humor, silly but smart.

When I looked into your eyes, I saw purity

When you held my hand, I felt the warmth of your heart.

As you talked to me, I sensed your intelligence.

I never lost my courage with you,

Because, I know you are a good person.

Even though sometimes I do not understand you very well.

I still know that you mean well.

Though we were so often apart,

I have always felt secure in your love,

For I know that you are a trustworthy person.

Thank you so much for helping me always,

For your patience, for your constant love.

Today, I am so happy to have this wedding with you.

I promise you that I will always love you truely.

I realize the importance of compromise, communication,

And working together as a team to solve problems;

I promise to remain stubbornly devoted to our relationship.

I will do my best to turn disagreement into cooperation,

Difficulties, into solutions,

Frustration, into patience,

And imperfections, into love.

No matter how high the sky,

Our love flies still higher.

No matter how deep the earth,

Our love grows still deeper.

And as long as rivers still run to the sea,

We will fill each other's lives with love.
