Drawn to the Light
Snowflakes fell out uv the night --
Here, a rare and thrilling sight;
They shone like diminds by porch light.
Drawn to them, we rushed out-side.
We tried to reech into the sky
And laffed and danced with arms held high
Az snow-flakes floated evry-where,
Like little stars that kissed our hair --
Fleeting gifts which meltid cares
And left us with the joy we shared...
Sun-lit clouds and mountin peeks
Blessed us with the light we need
Az sun fell slowly out uv sight,
And silhouettes were left and right
Where mighty trees began the night...
We drove down frum the mountins
And marvelled at the city lights.
There byooty beckoned us return --
Where sparkling eyes uv Siamese cats,
Greetid us with a brite bloo flash --
And off to bed for rest well-earned,
We went to dreem uv shiny lights...
We saw the Angels' fire-wirks
Go off with each home-run.
It lit the sky and drew us near
Az we joined in the fun,
Uv 40,00 giddy fans
Uv thunder-stix and rally monkeys
While the base-ball Angels won,
This sparkling seezin in the sun --
Champs at last wen it wuz done...
We watched in fascinashin
Az we saw butter-flies galore.
There wings filled the horizon
Az they glittered in the sun,
And specks of glitter lingered
Like dust in an old store...
Eagles by the hundrids
Circled in the sky,
Gliding in celestial rings
Az sun shone on there out-stretched wings.
Below us and yet floating,
They let are spirits rize.
They danced the dance uv nachur
Above the dezert floor
Uv barren Owins valley.
Mezmerized, we watched there show.
Az we came down from the high-lands
We floated to the ground below...
The oshin waves crashed brillyint bloo
On the sandy shore,
And lit the night with awe-sum hues
That opinned nachurs' door,
So evry-won just stopped and stared,
Wunder-filled and unprepared
But grate-full for the seen we shared.
Countliss microbes showed there might,
To humin eyes, drawn to the light...
Wonce a small patayto
Wuz deep in-side a basemint
With only a small hole
Which sparkled with a glint.
It grew a long, long tendril,
Drawn to the light.
It sparked a young man's mind,
And changed the whirled with this idea;
All that lives will seek the light...
Wonce a womin nearly died--
no hartbeat; she had closed her eyes --
But she saw a brillyint light
An incandescint gift uv sight
That drew her in and made things right.
God wuz there, but back she went,
Drawn to the whirled's light
With a gift that heavin sent...
Though bright and awe-inspiring sights
Bless my life, frum time to time,
The most full-filling kind uv light
I see coming frum your eyes,
Day by day, and night by night;
In your eyes I see love's might,
Az shining through I see love's light.

Snow relieved us uv are cares,
Az countliss snow-flakes filled the air.
With grace, they floatid soft and light,
Sparkling byooty left and right.
We newlyweds laffed with delite,
In love, az snow-flakes filled are sight --
A comfy blankit, big and brite,
Which felt, thow cold, qwite warm that night.
